On 16 February 2024, the European Commission announced the initiation of two new proceedings to examine the Union interest. The proceedings are intended to identify and prevent any damage to affected industries within the EU.

If the recently announced investigations reveal economic damage to European branches of industry, the producers of the inspected goods originating in Morocco and China will have to face (provisional) measures imposed by the Commission.

 

 

The following products are affected:

Aluminium road wheels of the motor vehicles of headings 8701 to 8705 whether or not with their accessories and whether or not fitted with tyres; classified under the following CN codes: ex 8708 70 10 and ex 8708 70 50 (TARIC-Codes 8708 7010 15, 8708 70 10 50, 8708 70 50 15 and 8708 70 50 50)

Glass fibre yarns, whether or not twisted, excluding glass fibre slivers and glass fibre cords, classified under the following CN codes: ex 7019 13 00 and ex 7019 19 00 (TARIC-Codes 7019 13 00 10, 7019 13 00 15, 7019 13 00 20, 7019 13 00 25, 7019 13 00 30, 7019 13 00 50, 7019 13 00 87, 7019 13 00 94, 7019 19 00 30 and 7019 19 00 85)
