EU-Vietnam free trade agreement in force from August 1, 2020
The common free trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and Vietnam will enter into force on August 1, 2020. The agreement is particularly interesting for German companies, since 33 percent of all EU exports to Vietnam come from Germany.
65% of the products will be granted duty-free from 1.8.2020.
A step-by-step plan provides for a transition period of up to 10 years until absolute duty-free is achieved for all products.
REX registration is a prerequisite for participation in delivery of goods to Vietnam over a value of € 6000. After registration, a fixed wording must be attached to the invoice.

The wording of the declaration can be found here. https://wup.zoll.de/wup_online/ursprungserklaerungen.php?landinfo=VN&stichtag=29.07.2020&gruppen_id=46&position=

On the import side, EUR.1 is still recognized.

The LIST OF REQUIRED WORKING OR PROCESSING can be found in ANNEX II of the Protocol I

The full content of the agreement can be found in the Official Journal of the EU L 186/3 of June 12, 2020
