The new EU-ACP Partnership Agreement has been provisionally applied since the beginning of the year. The first agreement of this kind was originally valid from April 2003 to February 2020. Negotiations on a new EU-ACP Partnership Agreement lasted around five years and was finally signed on November 15, 2023.

The agreement links the European Union’s partnership with 79 countries on the African continent, the Caribbean and the Pacific. Until the procedures for entry into force have been completed, the agreement will only apply provisionally.
