Russia sanctions and Belarus – EU imposed 6th package

On 03.06.2022 the 6th sanctions package of the EU against Russia and Belarus was published with immediate effect.

In particular, the import of Russian crude oil by sea is banned – deliveries via pipelines are subject to exemptions. In addition, an export ban has been imposed on further high-tech products to strengthen Russia’s defense and security sector. Insurance bans, broadcasting bans for broadcasters, and the ban on providing accounting and consulting services to Russian companies have also been sanctioned since 03.06.2022.

In addition, SWIFT exclusions were expanded for both countries, and new financial sanctions were imposed.
