The long previously announced new version of the Dual-Use Goods Regulation is published today,11th June 2021 in the Official Journal of the EU on page L 206/1.

It bears the number and title as follows:

REGULATION (EU) 2021/821 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 20 May 2021 setting up a Union regime for the control of exports, brokering services, technical assistance in transit and transfers of dual-use items (recast).

In Article 32, the validity of the application is dated as follows:

This Regulation shall enter into force on the ninetieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

There is still some time left to deal in detail with the extent to which the export activities of one’s own company are affected by it. But this is running out.

So, let’s start dealing with the content together.

Yours, Nicola Bernard
