An EU investigation has come to the conclusion that Chinese PET plastic products on the European market represent imminent injury to EU producers. The EU Commission is therefore provisionally imposing anti-dumping duties on PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products from China. Duties of between 6.6 and 24.2 percent will be levied on PET products – depending on the manufacturer. The anti-dumping duties will be in force for a maximum of six months. The final decision on the introduction of the measures is still pending. There is still an opportunity to provide the EU Commission with feedback on this.
