The now 11th sanctions package is intended to further restrict Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine in violation of international law. The sanctions imposed so far are having an impact and will now be strengthened.
This particularly affects the areas of trade, transport and energy. The following is an overview of the measures:
- Export restrictions on additional technological goods that can be used for warfare.
- Intellectual property rights may not be transferred if it is a sanctioned good
- Expanded export ban on luxury vehicles, as well as electric and hybrid vehicles
- Trucks with Russian trailers may not transport goods to the EU
- Access bans for ships to EU ports in case of suspected violation of trade with Russian oil
The EU Commission lists further measures in its press release about the 11th sanctions package against Russia.
