In accordance with EU Implementing Decision 2018/1137, imports of the customs codes from the People’s Republic of China and Belarus into Germany listed in Annex I will in future be subject to phytosanitary surveillance in so far as they are transported by ISPM No 15 which is subject to mandatory packaging.
According to information from the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (in Germany LfL), implementation of Implementing Decision 2018/1137 / EU only takes effect from 01.11.2018.
The phyto-sanitary clearance usually takes place at the first entry point (entry point at the airport or port) in the EU. The goods receipt must be reported to the responsible plant protection service at least 24 hours in advance via the PGZ-Online (in German language only) database system (www.pzg-online.de)
