Since the beginning of 2022, representatives of Ukraine and the EU have been working on an agreement on conformity assessment and recognition of industrial products. At the end of the year, negotiations took a major step forward.

Ukraine has fully adopted about 26,000 European standards. This paves the way for rapid ratification of the ACAA agreement (Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products).

Ukraine moves closer to the EU

The ACAA agreement was initiated as a supplement to the DCFTA free trade agreement between the EU and Ukraine. The resulting conformity, in terms of standards and norms for industrial products, will allow trade between Ukraine and third countries to grow significantly. In addition, the agreement symbolically promotes Ukraine’s ties with the EU.
