The EU has decided to extend the trade benefits currently in force – including the waiver of import duties – for another year.

The trade facilitation measures include the suspension of tariff quotas and import duties on agricultural products. In addition, the application of the entry price system for fruits and vegetables will be eliminated. Ukraine is also exempt from anti-dumping duties. These regulations are to remain in effect until June 5, 2024.

Looking back at 2022, we can see that the trade benefits have had their effect. Trade flows from Ukraine to the EU have remained stable despite the adverse circumstances, according to Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI).
