Fair competitive conditions should prevail in the EU’s internal market for all companies – whether European or non-European. To achieve this goal, the EU Commission is calling for an instrument to check the economic activities of companies for third-country subsidies. The Council has approved the corresponding regulation.

Once the regulation has been signed by both the Parliament and the Council, it will enter into force after 20 days.
