Effected on 1 May 2018, the additional duty on certain products originating in the USA shall be set at 0,3% for imports into the European Union.
This measure affects a total of four goods:
• sweetcorn (heading No 0710 40 00),
• Crane trucks / mobile cranes (tariff number 8705 10 00) and
• Spectacle frames made of base metal (heading 9003 19 30)
• Long pants (including knickerbockers or similar) for women and girls, of denim (heading No 6204 62 31).

The background of the EU additional duties on certain goods of US origin is the WTO dispute between the EU and the USA with regard to the American “Continuing Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000” (so-called “Byrd Amendment”).
