Companies that maintain trade relations with Hong Kong or Luxembourg shall be aware of possible price increases. The reason for this in both cases is the increase in the minimum wage.

3,000 euros for qualified employees in Luxembourg

Luxembourg increased all minimum wage rates on April 1. This means that qualified employees receive a social minimum wage of 3,009.88 euros per month for a 40-hour week. For unskilled workers it is 2,508.24 euros.

30 cents more per hour in Hong Kong

On May 1, Hong Kong also raised its minimum wage. It was raised from 37.50 Hong Kong dollars (HK$) per hour to 40 HK$. In euros, this means an increase of 30 cents.
