From January 1, 2023, summary declarations in electronic form will be mandatory for the movement of goods between Germany and Switzerland. So far, the summary declacation was not necessary in most cases.
The summary declaration is created and submitted via ATLAS module SumA. Registration for temporary custody will also be carried out electronically from 2023 on – also via the above mentioned module. Paper-based declarations are no longer accepted by customs offices.
Please note that due to the changes, there may be longer clearance times at the border.
