U.S. patent law can be confusing. But there is support available:

The “United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)” regularly offers the lecture series “The Way to a Patent”. In the various events, you will receive a lot of helpful information, from the basics of intellectual property to patent searches and the necessary documents for a successful patent application.

The offer is aimed at independent inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

The current lecture series starts on January 12, 2023 with the different types of intellectual property, before it is about the differences between a provisional and a nonprovisional patent application on January 19.
