According to the fall survey by the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK), German companies that are active in the United Kingdom (UK) are positive about the future. This is despite the generally weak UK economy.
40 percent of companies expect their business to improve over the next twelve months. 39 percent plan to increase their investments and hire more staff, for example. In contrast, only around 14% of the companies surveyed expect a deterioration. According to the survey, the most frequently mentioned business risks include political uncertainty and a lack of demand. Concerns about supply chain problems or raw material and energy bottlenecks have decreased compared to the survey six months ago.
