The European Commission has opened a consultation on its proposed Ecodesign Regulation on 30 March. This regulation – as part of the so-called Sustainable Product Initiative – would allow for extensive sustainability specifications and information requirements for various products. Companies can participate until 8 June. The next step is for the Council and the EU Parliament to take a position on the proposal.
