Based on the Combined Nomenclature (CN) 2020 and the current Annex to the EC Dual Use Regulation the European Commission has provided a conversion table in Excel format on its website.
The file offers sorting functions in two versions, in which the KN 2020 or Appendix I of the EG-Dual-Use-VO is shown alphanumerically. The list of conversions shows references of the CN items to possible items of the Annex I EC Dual Use Regulation, which are checked especially during export and must be coded as a result in the export customs declarations (e.g. Y901 or X002).
