An EUR.1 is a movement certificate. This EUR.1 is not mandatorily to be presented within the import procedure. The presentation of an EUR.1 during a customs procedure may lead from a smaller amount of duties to a complete customs exemption. The advantage of a smaller amount of customs duty only may be enlisted in case of direct consignment. The described case of customs exemption presupposes that the EUR.1 is issued from a states party only.
