The Turkish government abolished the exporter’s declaration on 24.05.2019. From now on, it is obligatory in the EU – Turkey trade to produce a CCI – certified certificate of origin for a large number of customs tariff numbers in order to avoid additional duties.
The chamber of commerce Munich recommends that every delivery of goods from the EU to Turkey be accompanied by the movement certificate A.TR. always include a certificate of origin and, if possible, the EU – Turkey supplier declaration.
The additional duties are applicable to goods originating in 13 countries (mainly Asia). The countries of origin and tariff codes concerned can be found in Regulations 2017/10926 and 2018/11799 of the Turkish Government. These are linked to the website of the chamber of commerce Munich (German only). If these additional duties are to be avoided for goods of other origin, a certificate of origin MUST be attached to the consignment.
