From January 1, 2023, air cargo to Egypt must be pre-registered via the ACI system. So far, October 1, 2022 has been the deadline. The extension of the test phase now gives retailers more time to prepare for the changeover.
The electronic Advanced Cargo Information System (ACI) requests information about the supplier, the importer and the goods in order to carry out a risk assessment. An ACID number will be issued upon approval and must be included on all subsequent documentation.
