The increasing demand for computing power requires huge investments in <strong>cooling systems<\/strong>, <strong>electrical engineering<\/strong> and other infrastructure. According to forecasts, the total capacity of US data centres could grow to <strong>80 gigawatts by 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>177 data centre projects<\/strong> are currently under construction or in the planning stage in the USA, representing an <strong>investment volume of around USD 195 billion<\/strong>. Regions such as <strong>Virginia<\/strong>, <strong>Louisiana<\/strong> and <strong>Texas<\/strong> offer ideal locations for data centres due to their sufficient resources. <strong>Meta<\/strong>, for example, is building a new data centre in Louisiana with an investment of around USD 10 billion, while the <strong>Stargate project<\/strong> &#8211; launched by <strong>OpenAI<\/strong>, <strong>Oracle<\/strong>, <strong>MGX<\/strong> and <strong>SoftBank<\/strong> &#8211; plans to invest in the construction of 10 new data centres worth around USD 100 billion over the next four years.<\/p>\n<p>These developments open up <strong>promising foreign trade prospects<\/strong> for European companies. In particular, companies involved in <strong>cooling solutions<\/strong> and <strong>technical equipment for data centres<\/strong> can benefit from the high demand. The Hamburg-based company <strong>Stulz<\/strong>, for example, is utilising its expertise in cooling solutions and is opening its third production site in the USA this year in response to the dynamic market.
