The first agreement of this kind was originally valid from April 2003 to February 2020. Negotiations on a new EU-ACP Partnership Agreement lasted around five years and was finally signed on November 15, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement links the European Union&#8217;s partnership with 79 countries on the African continent, the Caribbean and the Pacific. Until the procedures for entry into force have been completed, the agreement will only apply provisionally.
