Regulation (EU) 833\/2014 was updated by Regulation (EU) 2022\/2474. Furthermore, Regulation (EU) 2022\/2475 and Regulation (EU) 2022\/2476 were adopted.<\/p>\n<p>We provide an overview of important innovations.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Contents of the 9th sanctions package<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&#8211; New <strong>export restrictions<\/strong> on: Generators, toy drones, laptops, hard drives, IT components, nerve agents, and other biological and chemical equipment, electronic components , cameras, and lenses<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Expanded export ban on <strong>aerospace goods<\/strong> such as night vision and radio navigation equipment, drone engines and aircraft engines<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The list of names of sanctioned individuals and entities was expanded by another <strong>141 individuals and 49 entities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assets of two more <strong>Russian banks frozen<\/strong>; complete ban on transactions by the Russian Regional Development Bank<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ban on investment in <strong>Russian energy sector<\/strong> extended; with exception of mining for extraction of particularly critical raw materials<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Four more Russian media channels lose broadcasting licenses in the EU<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Exemptions<\/strong> <strong>for food<\/strong> and fertilizer exports from Russia to countries in the global South.
