In addition, further EU legislation will come into force. Organic import controls will thus be transferred from customs to the organic authorities of the federal states. Organic consignments and corresponding accompanying documents must be checked and handled by the \u201cL\u00e4nder\u201d authorities before customs clearance in Germany. For customs clearance, this means that an organic inspection certificate authorising the release of the declared consignment for free circulation must be presented.
