{"id":2592,"date":"2021-09-21T09:40:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T07:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nicola-bernard.de\/en\/?p=2592"},"modified":"2024-03-18T11:47:35","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T09:47:35","slug":"brexit-london-postpones-the-start-of-customs-controls-on-imports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicola-bernard.de\/en\/brexit-london-postpones-the-start-of-customs-controls-on-imports\/","title":{"rendered":"Brexit: London postpones the start of customs controls on imports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 1st Oct. 2021, prior declarations and health certificates were to be a prerequisite for the import of certain foodstuffs of animal origin into<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/government-sets-out-pragmatic-new-timetable-for-introducing-border-controls\"> the UK.<\/a> From 1st Jan. 2022, safety declarations should also apply to all imports. These and other post-Brexit transition periods have now been postponed again. On 14<sup>th<\/sup> Sept.2021, the UK announced that the timetable for the gradual implementation of customs regulations and customs controls for imports from the EU would be postponed further, to 1st. Jan. 2022 or 1<sup>st<\/sup> July 20222.
